Navratri is a hindu festival of worship and dance when people observe fasting for nine days and nine nights. The nine signifies the nine forms of durga devi with feminine devinity. Each day of the navaratris is devoted to the worship of Shakti as durga, Bhadrakali, Amba or Jagadamba, Annapurna, Sarvamangala, Bhairavi, Chandika, Chandi, Lalita, Bhavani, Mookambika.
